The highly advanced diffusers from PLANLICHT make a significant contribution to the optimal light distribution in lighting systems tailored to your needs. The diffusers, also known as optics, are specifically designed to maximize the efficiency and functionality of your lighting.
The linearly extruded diffusers consist of two components:
Component 1: A special high-gloss reflector in white, which is custom-fitted on both sides of the LED insets. It increases the operational efficiency and optimizes the system’s performance.
• Requirements for directional lighting, increased visual comfort, and glare reduction: Microprism and Extra Comfort (a combination of clear diffusers and microprismatic components)
PLANLICHT offers four main types of diffusers, each providing specific advantages for different lighting scenarios:
1. Satiné
Description: A flush diffuser made from milky white material.
Advantage: Ensures a homogeneous light distribution and is ideally suited for area lighting solutions with maximally coordinated transmission and system efficiency.
2. Jet Black & Light
Description: A black-tinted, flush diffuser.
Advantage: Provides uniform area lighting when in the “ON” state and minimizes the visibility of the luminaire when in the “OFF” state.
3. Microprism
Description: A clear, flush diffuser combined with microprism sheets and an optional diffusion film.
Advantage: Ideal for lighting solutions that require high visual comfort and effective glare reduction.
4. Extra Comfort
Description: A clear, flush diffuser combined with microprism sheets and an optically optimized lens SELV cover on the LED inset.
Advantage: Perfect for very demanding lighting solutions that require the highest visual comfort and glare reduction according to EN 12464, particularly suitable for screen workstations with L65 < 1500 cd/m² at 65° all-around and UGR<19.
The diffusers are perfectly matched to PLANLICHT’s LED light inserts, which feature SELV/ESD protection and a 7-pin through-wiring system (7x 1.5mm²) with terminal blocks on both sides. The connection of the individual light inserts to the profile is achieved using quick-mount clips, while the electrical connection between the inserts is ensured by flexible wires. This construction allows for flexible phase selection and the configuration of single or multiple switching circuits or groups.
